Today I will be dwelling basically on Bible.
These are they who are daily looking up to the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus and will return with Him to reign on earth by the year 2034 AD. Believers are essentially of two types: the carnal and spiritual believers.
A carnal minded fellow is an unregenerate fellow. I and still lives in sin. Such a person is in enmity with God and subject to the law of sin and death (Roman’s 8:5_8). A carnal minded fellow has not received the privilege of the redemption from sins and is therefore not looking for word to the redemption of the body (Roman’s 8:21_23). The carnal believer. However, is a born again child of God, a Saint of the most High, who as a result of the individuals actions is still a baby in the things of the lord. Such a one is holding his vessel in dishonor (a Corinthians 1:1-2; 3:1-4; 2 timothy 2:19-21). the carnal Christian is not always filled with the Holy Spirit, thereby not walking in the spirit at all times. even though such a one has been baptized by the Holy Spirit ans speaks in tongues, the manifestations of the gift of the Spirit is alien to the individual. the life style of a carnal believer is characterized by unsteadfastness.
This brings us to the question of the number of times a particular sin of an individual can be forgiven by God. Jesus taught us to forgive our brother’s sin against us until seventy times seven, which means we should forgive an individual up to 490 times. what this suggests is that every believer must own a catalogue of offense book to keep record of offenses if we intend to get tired of forgiving. if moral men should be required to forgive 490 times, how much more will God forgive one sins? remember also that in the presence of God, every sin is a fresh sin. this is because our sins once confessed are forgiven and blotted out, there is now no more imputation of sin against the believer, for he is blessed (Romans 4:5-7; 8:1-2; 1 john 2: 1-5; 1:5-10). this therefore, means that no matter the number of times a carnal christian sins and confess them, his sins will be forgiven and forgotten. the danger confronting a carnal believer is that there is a slim line between him and the backslider (as seen i the previous chapter). if one is unsteadfast, the devil will always suggest to him that righteousness is never possible to any one, forgetting the fact that a believer has already obtained it as a free gift, the individual may believe the lie of the devil and begin to hold the truth in unrighteousness, thereby falling out of grace. you must therefore be very careful if you belong to this class and learn to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
This passage is talking about believers in Christ Jesus.
